The Coosa Valley Fair marks the beginning of Fall for the residents of the Coosa Valley including Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama.
Known as Fall’s Finest Festival, the Fair has been sponsored by the Exchange Club of Rome continuously since its founding in 1949. The annual 5-day event typically runs the first full week of October.
Continuing the trends set in recent years, if the weather cooperates, the Fair will be attended by 80,000 raving fans during it’s 5 day run, October 3 through October 7, 2017.
For over six decades, the Coosa Valley Fair has been sponsored as a service project by the Exchange Club of Rome Georgia. The Fair is actually managed by a separate corporation called the Coosa Valley Fair Association. All members of the Rome Exchange Club are voting members of the association, but the day to day management and planning is left in the hands of an elected Coosa Valley Fair Board of Directors.
The Board meets at least once-a-month, year round and controls all aspects of the Fair as well as managing how the fairgrounds are used for other activities the rest of the year.
As you can imagine, putting on an event with the size and scope of the Coosa Valley Fair takes highly detailed planning and precise management. It is important to note at this point that ALL of this work is performed by volunteers. The entire board and all of the officers are community leaders who believe in the Coosa Valley Fair enough to volunteer countless hours to make it a success year after year. We are not aware of any other fair of our size which operates completely without paid management staff.

These are men and women who are successful in their own business and professional pursuits, but who have generously donated their time and talents to the shared goal of providing the Coosa Valley with a first class fall fair.
