Bill King and the Tomb Travel Crew are on the road! Below are the trips planned for August through November. At least one or two, and possibly up to four volunteers are needed for each trip. All expenses of travel, housing and meals will be covered. Also your Tomb replica shirts, both long and short sleeve, will be provided as well as both the blue and the grey shirts. Schedule for August – November 2022 (trip dates shown include travel to and from the location)

August 8 – 14 – Travel days to Belle Fourche, South Dakota for presentations on August 10 – 11, 2022 at the Belle Fourche Community Hall which is located at 512 6th Ave., Belle Fourche, South Dakota. The display will be on exhibit from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. each day. Travel days back will be the 12th,13th, & 14th. Bill will need at least 2 people on this trip and will need to know ASAP.

September 8 – 12 – Quincey, Ill shows on the 9th – 11th from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. each day. Return trip will be on the 12th and the drive time from Rome to Quincey is @10 hours and we will depart at 7:00am on the 8th to go to Quincey and will depart on the 12th also at 7:00am. Bill will need 2 to 3 people on this trip and will need to know as to your availability by August 1, 2022.

September 16 – 27 – Middleton, Ind. shows on the 17th and 18th from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. on the 17th and from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on the 18th. The drive is about 8 and ½ hours from Rome to Ripley. We will be going directly to Kent, Putnam County, New York for shows at the Veteran’s Park for their Veteran’s Park Alliance on the 21st – the 25th, 24/7 while there. They are providing Security 24/7 as well. We will return to Rome on the 27th as it is a 14 and ½ hour drive from Kent to Rome. Bill will need to know about your availability by August 1.

October 1 – Set up date for Coosa Valley Fair

October 4 – 8 – Coosa Valley Fair – from 5 p.m. until 10. p.m. daily. I will need you to sign up for 2 hour shifts for each day and would like to have 2 -3 people on each shift to be able to field questions and help to distribute donation gifts as well. Bill will need to know your availability by Sept. 1, 2022.

October 23 – 27 – Farmerville, La. which will take about 8 hours. The presentations will be outside of the Union Museum of History and Art each day beginning on the 24th at 9:00am – 6:00pm each day through the 26th. Travel day back will be the 27th. Bill will need to know as to your availability by Sept. 1, 2022.

November 1 – 6 – Angleton, Tx for presentation hosted by their Exchange Club and for the public on Nov. 3 and 4, 2022. The drive time from Rome to Angleton, Tx is 12 and ½ hours. We will spend one night on the road each way. The hours of presentation will be from 10 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on the 3rd for the club members and from 8:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. on the 4th for the local schools and the general public. Bill will need to know your availability by Oct. 1, 2022.

November 8 – 11 – Griffin, GA for presentations on 9th – 11th for the general public along with the Military Collectibles Display from McDonough, Ga with Buddy and Lamar sponsored by Remax of Griffin, Ga. Hours of display will be 9:00am – 7:00pm each day and this will be inside. Breakdown and return to Rome immediately following last day’s presentations. Bill will need to know your availability by Oct. 1, 2022.
